Rockin' Moroccan Beef Burgers

Makes 4 burgers

For the burgers:

  • 500g grass fed beef +
  • 1 Tablespoon Moroccan Seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon of Mason's Mushroom Mix
  • 1 teaspoon of "Jing"
  • Salt and Pepper to taste

For Serving:

  • Baby cos lettuce
  • Avocado mashed with salt and pepper
  • Tomato, sliced
  • Mayo
  • Hot sauce

 Method

  1. Place all burger ingredients into a bowl and stir to combine. Be careful not to over handle the mixture as this can make your burgers a little tough.
  2. Shape into 4 even sized patties and cook by your preferred method.
  3. Pro tip = when your burgers are almost done, add a splash of bone broth to the pan, cover with a lid & turn off the heat to help steam/cook the burgers for the final minutes - they turn out extra, extra juicy this way.
  4. Once cooked allow to rest for 2-3 minutes before serving.

To serve:

  1. Place your beautiful burger in lettuce cups.
  2. Slather with dreamy avocado mash.
  3. Top with sliced tomato, a dollop of mayo and a few dashes of your fave hot sauce.

Devour.

Join Mason as we take a deep dive into the mysterious and vitally important energy that lives in our kidneys; Jing. ‘Jing’ is the Chinese word for ‘essence’ - specifically kidney essence. In the ancient Taoist tradition, fatigue, weakness and hormonal imbalance, were all considered a result of Jing depletion. By learning to nourish Jing we begin to stop any “leaking” of this energy, and therefore cease to be in states of exhaustion and restore this energy so that our body can grow deep roots of health to grow upon.
