Sophie Willing

Hi there, my name is Sophie Willing. I’m a mother to my beautiful children and partner to my love Otis Hope Carey.

I'm driven by keeping my family happy, healthy and thriving. I’m proud of the strong Indigenous family that my partner and I are raising and also having the opportunity to free birth my daughter into this world! It was such an incredibly empowering experience that has helped heal and shape my life.

I've been a huge fan of SuperFeast from day one and have been incorporating many of the tonics, herbs and medicinal mushrooms into my daily rituals.

At the moment, I love to mediate in the mornings followed by the women’s blend “I Am Gaia” - I feel it’s so nourishing for my mind, body and spirit and tastes delicious with some warm coconut and almond milk.

What brings me back to nature is to really honour my needs. In the sense that I like to follow these daily rituals of plant and herbal medicine. Nourishing my mind and body within my morning routine and then making sure that I spend some time out in nature. Whether that be up in the Promised Land, nestled below the Great Dividing Range or in the ocean here in Sawtell. I try to incorporate at least an hour of my day barefoot on country to ground myself.

I am inspired by being present and really just taking a moment to be so very grateful for all that we have. I'm truely inspired by giving back and always looking for ways to further help my community.

Otis, Nikki and I have been working on a children’s label called Ngaarlu Baby.
Ngaarlu is the Gumbaynggirr word for Water.

The idea behind our children’s label is to advocate for First Nations Culture, Indigenous children and their family’s. Through art and design, we want to increase visibility of Indigenous culture and language revitalisation.

We will be giving a significant portion of the proceeds back to the Indigenous Preschool here on Gumbaynggirr country.

* Kulai Preschool Aboriginal Corporation and to
* BMNAC - Bularri Muurlay Nyanggan Aboriginal Corporation. Which provides Goori Learning Centre’s, language revitalisation and Giingan Gumbaynggirr cultural experiences.

We hope in turn that this helps to nurture and provide resources for these incredibly important Aboriginal Corporations.

Ultimately in answer to you question, this would help to create sovereignty of mind, body and spirit within our Gumbaynggirr Community.
